P2515 departed Albany as #672 leading a consist of 33 XW hoppers which had recently arrived to the GSR from Geraldton
P2504 and DBZ2308 arrived Albany 1130hrs as #663 from Lake Grace with a mixed consist of XV, XU and XT hoppers
P2505 is still working the Woodchipper with DD2359
NJ1605 arrived Albany overnight
The recorder car RC701 with outriggers front and back was at Albany and departed around midday after the woodchipper cleared the block between Albany and Ellecker
Currently there are three grain sets working into Albany. The third set, P2515 and the XW`s are working the cbh bins at Wagin and Katanning while the other two are working as far as Hyden and Newdegate

Hi all,

Seen today was :

DFZ2405-DFZ2401 sitting at the entrance to the tunnel after completing unloading of its train.
P2507 on a shortened Mineral Sands, there was about 15-20 Sands wagons at the North end of Narngulu yard.

DFZ2404 was in front of the servicing shed with its ditch-lights on.

Also Djukin1016 saw DAZ1901-P2510-P2509 yesterday on the Grain train, so back to triple headers up here once again.

Hi all, some sightings from today...

07:40, PW4, NR12 on the lead... east bound through Booran.
07:55, 053 grain, Q4001-L3106, east bound through Booran.
09:24, 462 grain, AB1504-AB1503, south bound out of W-Merredin.
10:25, 462 grain, arrived into Bruce Rock... half the fleet detached in station yard and the rest taken to CBH and again split, before loading.
12:02, LZ3109-LZ23120, running around grain consist at Tammin.... one rake of grain wagons in CBH and one rake in 3rd Road at the old Goods Yard.
12:04, 484 crossed the two LZ's at Tammin.
13:08, 056 grain, L3110, west bound out of Avon Yard.
13:34, 323 grain, P2508, east bound into Avon Yard.

at W-Merredin... AB1502 powered up idling at Loco.
at Avon Yard... 1x NJ, 2x AD's, 1x DB (Westrail orange) and 3 Woodchip Hoppers seperate from the locos.

Around Picton on Friday was D1562 long end leading DD2355 on alumina, DAZ1903 on caustic, S3301, S3304 and DD2356 on three alumina sets. S3310 and DAZ1906 in the yard.
On Sunday was DD2356/D1562 on alumina up the hill, S3302 and S3310 on two alumina sets.

Grain train #633 arrived Albany at 1100hrs with P2505, DBZ2313 leading.
P2505 was cut from the train on arrival and ran onto the Woodchipper which had been waiting due to P2502 developing a problem after the first run.
DD2359 departed for the mill just before midday with P2505 bringing up the rear.
P2502 was seen in the workshop

The Geraldton fans are already well catered for with 3 DFZ class locos, and another 2 on the way! It seems that only the Merredin narrow gauge workings don't get regular visits from the ex-QR locos, though I recall South Spur's ZB class did get out there at least once.

2203 has never operated in WA is stored at Merredin as no room at Forrestfield
DC2206 had the temporary reprieve none are operating at present
3104 believe awaiting parts
3102 not sure of latest

Hi all,

Seen this afternoon was:

P2513-DFZ2405 hauling a loaded ore train just leaving Narngulu to go to the Port
P2512 was in front of Servicing Shed
P2517 was shunting ore wagons in the yard
P2510 was on a 30 Wagon Ore set leaving Narngulu to head to Ruvidinni. There must have been a failure to result in a shortened set.
