S3308 on 1556 Export Coal 5 mins after the DD solo alumina alongside South Western Hwy
DD2358/DB2309 on Loaded Alumina
S3311 on 1873 Alumina?
S3304 on 1875 loaded alumina. ATM Traffic management were working at the Highway crossing at Wokalup in which train control delayed 1875 for a short period of time.

DD2357, DD2359, DAZ1902 in Picton Yard

273 was a ARG/QR Yellow DBZ and Westrail Yellow DAZ seen heading south near Wagerup

Just for anyones interest a new road called Willinge Drive from South Western Hwy near Picton Yard to Inner Harbour (Where the trains go) with access of Australind Bypass is now open making it easier to go from Picton Yard to the harbour.

Around the Golden Mile today:

- 6413 ld ore at Binduli, west leg. Q4001, AC4306, AC4301 and 126 wagons. Departed 0750 hrs and crossed 6418 at Hampton and 7S64 at Hampton ballast siding.
- 6025 Kal freighter, Q4006, L3118 and LZ3120. Binduli 0757 hrs.
- 6418 mt ore, Q4009, Q4013, Q4005 and 126 wagons, Binduli east leg into West Kal at 0832 hrs.
- 6029 sulphur, AC4305, 27 sulphur, 1 ferric sulphate, 2 anhydrous ammonia, 1 flocculent and 2 container flats. Arrived Binduli 0900 hrs, crossed 7S64.
- 7A52 light engine yard to loco, Q4017 departed 1002 hrs.
- 6029 sulphur to Leonora, AC4305 departed the yard 1009 hrs.
- 6418 mt ore Q4005, Q4013, Q4009 and 126 cars departed and crossed 7S64 at Binduli 1044 hrs.
- 7438 light engine, LZ3101 long end leading, east leg Binduli to West Kal 1103 hrs.
- 7C71, lime to Parkeston, LZ3111 long end, 6 ANPY and 1 WNC past the 1780 km at 1142 hrs, LZ3111 stabled there.
- DE49 shunting AQWY30233X Parkeston triangle 1150 hrs.
- 7415 ld ore, AC4308, Q4019, Q4010 and 126 cars arrived Binduli 1336 hrs.
- 7085 Prospector through the loop at West Kal crossed 5MP9 at 1402 hrs.

On a side note, I recorded all four iron ore wagon consists during the day.
Over a thousand images were taken across all the sightings.

Just seen:
6430, Q4007, sulphur with anhydrous ammonia tanks on AZKY wagons, stopped at Lyall St, 2230 hrs as 6PM5 went over the hill. Away at 2237 hrs.
After the sulphur set were three AZKY wagons.
AZKY32240G with A2T tank.
AZKY32238B with A4Y tank.
AZKY32233C with A10Y tank.

Q4007 with the lime tanks in West Kal yard, and as 5C71 to Parkeston at the 1780 km at 0820 hrs, and shunting into the lime plant at 0836 hrs while DE49 looked on.
5C72 headed west at 0951 hrs.
Light engine West Kal to loco, ALZ3208, LZ3119 and AC4305, 1012 hrs.
5405 (Hampton acid) out West Kal 1045 hrs with Q4007 long end leading, 26 vehicles, 756 tonnes for 477 metres.
5414 mt ore at Binduli 1050 hrs, Q4010, Q4019 and AC4308.
4442 arrived into West Kal at 1500 hrs (not seen).
5443, L3110 up Esperance freighter from Leonora arrived West Kal 1535 hrs with 5 tank wagons, 5 container flats and 1 tank wagon.
LZ3112 was shunting 442 at 1550 hrs, 7 ld fuel tanks and 3 WOD wagons bound for the workshop.
5C74, Q4007 long end leading into West Kal at 1640 hrs, 7 container flats and 7 lime tanks.
4442, north bound Esperance freighter bound for Leonora with LZ3101 and 6 fuel tanks and 5 AQRY 2 packs.

Hi All,

DFZ2407-P2501 were in the Port after just unloading there train and were running around the train.
DFZ240_-P25__ were shunting in the yard after swapping wagons on the ore fleet
DFZ2405-P2510 arriving into Narngulu with a loaded ore train. Unusual for a DFZ to lead a P with a loaded ore but this occasionally happens.

4418 mt ore AC4301, 4302 and 4307 (off line) changed crews and departed Binduli at 2020 hrs.

Is this the normal times for this service, or does it just run 'trip train' when ready?

I'll be haunting the Kal area from late Tues or early Wednesday till Sunday.

it is tabled to depart hampton at 0630hrs. if you want to see the ballast pit and hampton turn right where the highway crosses the railway line and follow the access road. at the moment the whs ballast wagons are at the ballast pit along with a few track machines.

i must add toad that this train can leave earlier and later depending on how the unloading is progressing at hampton. and it can get treated like a second class citizen and get held at either hampton, kambalda or redmine for hours on end waiting for iron ore and fuel trains to clear the section.

No reports of it being seen on a grain train, I and others have seen it stabled at Avon loco

Does anybody know if PA2819 has been sighted on wheat trains since running Light Engine to Avon Yard on Thursday

a very rare occurence happened today when a Q class loco worked the redmine nickel train. Q4019 departed west kalgoorlie light engine as train number 1439 at 0200hrs arrived at hampton at 0220hrs unloaded nickel wagons that were already there. then departed for redmine at 0630hrs and arrived at 0730hrs. the return working then departed redmine at 1030hrs. this service is usually worked by L/LZ locomotives.
