I heard SG1 or SG6 several days ago on the scanner, what's is SG1 or SG6???

L3116 & L3115 on 3056 wheat train
DAZ1904 & AB1503 on empty wheat train

20:00, 323 grain just through Dalwallinu, into McLevie Siding to load up..... triple header at the lead, not sure what locos though.

Grain train #663 arrived Albany 1430hrs with P2505 & 2502 leading , in town already was grain train #673 with P2504 & DBZ2313 on the train. The Woodchipper was at the port with P2511 still on the town end and DD2359 on the other end.
In the workshop was DBZ2308 while at the rear of the workshop was NJ1602 stabled on the old spud road.
The Woodchipper departed for the mill around 1500hrs.

P2504, DBZ2308 working as #662 to Lake Grace crossed RA212 on the rail train at Kendenup around 1100hrs.
P2511 heading the Woodchipper with DD2359 bringing up the rear went through Ellecker approx 1400hrs bound for Albany
DBZ2313 was inside the Albany workshop being serviced.

I don't think Black Swan Nickel (owned by the Russians) will be opening up anytime soon, they have relinquished their power allocation, which has been taken up by other upcoming mining operations.

I spotted wrong at the Port yesterday Jim, it must have been 2517 on 3756 instead of 2507, as 2507 was on a ore train this afternoon.

the black swan mine has not re-opened yet but there has been quite a few rumours floating around recently that it could be as the price of nickel seems to have stabilised a bit lately. and yes most of the AC's are used on the iron ore trains which has freed up other loco's to be used elsewhere e.g. most of the kalgoorlie freighters now have 3 loco's on them.

Looks as though the iron ores take up most of the AC class nowadays allowing a few Q's onto other trains, do you know if the black swan (I think that was the mine) nickel operations have started again as that was quite a regular traffic pre the global crisis?
