thanks toad.Toad Montgomery wrote:The trains will be the same as the J trains, 163 cars and three locos.
Test trains of ten cars still running at present, though first train isn't that far off.
The line to Mesa A is / will be the mainline, the junction at the 191 km, called Deepdale Junction is where the J trains take the switch to Mesa J.
The line from Deepdale Junc to Mesa A is about 30 km long, with a loadout tunnel and ballon loop at Mesa A.
Mesa A is at the 229.9 km.

Re: Rio Tinto load first Mesa A train.
any idea yet toad what the length of the trains is going to be on the mesa line?
Rio Tinto load first Mesa A train.
Ten cars were loaded as a loadout test / trial on the 3rd Feb 2010.
Lead loco was 8104 and 2 Pepsi Cans (original HI Dash 9).
Wagons were the Robe style of car.
The Mesa A line branches off the Deepdale (Pannawonica) line near the 191 km post.
The line also has an extra siding, "Churdy Pool", located around the 168 to the 171 km.
Cheers,
