Earthquake in Kalgoorlie

another one in kalgoorlie last night this time 2.8 on the richter scale.

another earthquake last night at about 1950hrs measured 2.6 on the scale.

hello kafoopsy, the earthquake epicentre was about 10k's south of boulder. i was over at parkeston at the time on LZ3114 shunting and the loco shook that much that at first we thought we had derailed. initially we were told that we had to remain over there until the track between kalgoorlie and parkeston was inspected and all other trains in the district were told to do 30 kph and be prepared to stop before any track defects, obstructions etc or until all tracks, bridges and culverts in the immediate area were inspected. i do know that 3414 ety ore was held at kambalda for a while and 2pm9 was held at west kalgoorlie for a little while as well but everything appears to be up and running normally now.
