NG Rail Fleet and More
The raill train headed by RA212 and its consist of 8 QUA type flats worked between Kendenup and Albany today dropping of new rail at the 381.5km peg and 386.5km peg. It was also to drop off line just south of Mt Barker at the 409.5 km peg but due to the train running way behind schedule it continued on into Albany where it arrived at 1610 hours and stabled.
Due to the hot temperatures over the last few days along the GSR a heat related buckling of the line was noticed by the crew of grain train #643 an inbound train to Albany, this buckle in the line meant the empty grain train #662 had to stop at Katanning while the line was repaired. #662 was already running four hours late by the time it reached Katanning. The buckle in the line was around the 263km peg which is between Katanning and Woodanilling.
NJ1602 failed again today while working on the Woodchipper, P2511 was coupled to the chipper in place of the NJ. NJ1602 has been having a few problems over the past few days.
