I think that was part of the issue, I was surprised when they started at Mooliabeenie as the mining companies up here had to get over numerous approvals to use sidings up this way to load ore, some took over a year or more in relatively isolated locations.

Mooliabeenie bauxite trains stopped running in late January following completion of initial trial shipments.
Bauxite Recources the mining company inviolved are under EPA review in their efforts to obtain aproval to commence large scale mining operations that could be two or more years before a decision is known.
There is fierce local oposition.

anyone know what is going on with the mooliabeenie bauxite trains at the moment? is it still running? or are they still having trouble with some of the locals up there with regards to environmental issues?
