as far as i know they will be electrics.Brian 2009 wrote:wn514,wn514 wrote:and have heard that a new series of railcars may be called for in the near future.Admin wrote:Brian 2009 wrote:Hi,
Can anybody advise on the success of the Mandurah passenger service please.

Construction of further parking bays at Cockburn Central, Rockingham, Warnbro and Mandurah would indicate on a line only a few years old that it is extremely sucessful.
I believe unless you get some the early trains out in the morning to Perth parking anywhere on the line is difficult. There are also bus services that run to interchanges along the line further increasing patronage.
The line is southern part of a north south spine running from Clarkson to Mardurah over 100kms long through well populated areas.
It would be well ahead of passenger projections made before line was opened.
Will the new Railcars be diesel or electric, do you know?
Thanks in advance.
